The Focali researchers represent a number of Swedish universities and institutions covering several academic disciplines. This creates a multidiciplinary and broad knowledge base within the focus area.

Anders Ekbom

Anders Ekbom

Anders is the project manager for Focali. He has a PhD in Environmental Economics.

Anders Malmer

Anders Malmer

Anders is a professor of Tropical Forest Ecology and Management. He is leading Focali’s research theme “Climate assessed SFM”.

Eskil Mattsson

Eskil Mattsson

Eskil is doing his PhD at the Department of Earth Science at the University of Gothenburg. He is the theme leader for “Global REDD-instruments”.

Gunilla A. Olsson

Gunilla A. Olsson

Gunilla is a professor of Human Ecology. She is active in the Focali study "REDD and Poverty".

Gunnar Köhlin

Gunnar Köhlin

Gunnar is an associate professor of Economics with specialisation in Environmental Economics.

Göran Berndes

Göran Berndes

Göran is a associate professor of Physical Resource Theory at Chalmers. He is active in Focali’s research about land use and bioenergy.

Göran is university lecturer and head of the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences. In Focali, he is active in theme study "Climate Assessed SFM".

Jens Strömberg

Jens Strömberg

Jens has a Master of Science in Human Ecology and a Master of Science in Environmental Science. He is a research assistant within the Focali research theme “REDD and Poverty”.

Jörgen Pettersson

Jörgen Pettersson

Jörgen has a master's degree in Economics and a master's degree in Environmental Science with specialisation in Environmental Economics. He is a research assistant within several of Focali’s themes.

Lisa Westholm

Lisa Westholm

Lisa has a Master's degree in Economics and a Bachelor in Human Geography from the University of Gothenburg. She works as a research assitant within two of Focali’s themes: “REDD and Poverty” and “Global REDD-instruments”.
